Reiki Level I Training

This Reiki class is the First level “attunement” for the novice practitioner. It is usually held during the course of one day and is your first step towards strengthening the flow of this life-sustaining energy into all levels of your being.

During the class you will learn the history of what we know as the mordern-day Reiki techniques. We will discuss in depth the 5 Reiki principles, learn some basic approaches to energy work, which will include discussion on the Chakra system, grounding techniques that help to protect you while giving a Reiki session, hand positions that ensure you will give a complete treatment for yourself and others as well as a discussion on ways to incorporate the spiritual aspects of Reiki into all phases of your life.

You will also be able to give a practice session on your classmates.

Throughout the course of the day, you will participate in the 5 steps of the attunement process. The attunement is what will enable you to tune your body to the specific Reiki frequency. Hence similar to when a radio is tuned to a specific station allows you to hear what is broadcast continually through the air, your body will do the same for Reiki. Once you receive this attunement you will retain this ability for the rest of your life. It can be strengthened through regular use of Reiki and also by receiving additional attunements such as the ones you would receive in the second or third level classes. You will be able to proceed to the second level 3 months after receiving the first level attunement, this provides you the time to adapt to this new flow of energy and to begin to learn how you sense this energy as it flows through you.
